In a world without accountability, meet a crack team of tech veterans who deliver what other firms only promise. We’re real experts, working with successful companies, solving the biggest cloud technology challenges. Fast.

{ …or you can skip to the techy bits }

Development issues? You need the ‘A Team’ on that.

When it comes to cloud development, maybe you’ve come to expect that you’ll be dealing with an army of interchangeable cubicle drones—a nameless, faceless collective that crawls back into the woodwork when the cheap solutions they’ve promised inevitably cause havoc down the road.

We’re here to help put all that behind you. We’re more than just expert developers—we’re collaborators, partners and advocates for your business’ goals.

Expert Developers: Quality Over Quantity

Pelotech was founded with the vision of applying lean, high speed/high impact  startup practices at enterprise scale. We help automate compliance, destroy waste, and accelerate delivery. Our passion is developing elegant solutions for complex problems; it’s an obsession that drives us to never be satisfied with less than astonishing results.

Whether your company is looking to capture all benefits of the cloud (not just cost savings but high impact revenue generation) or has projects mired in technical roadblocks and process challenges, Pelotech is your answer. We send in a small, elite team of highly experienced, top-shelf developers to assess and rectify. Pelotech offers in-depth expertise, accurate foresight and the kind of spot-on thinking that only comes from years of experience.

We provide horsepower over headcount.

  • A leading online eyewear retailer needed a clear vision to build out their second decade of success. Enter Pelotech’s Sean and Dan, who lead efforts to develop a best-in-class EKS solution in cluster design and deployment. Now the future’s so bright, it’s a good thing they sell shades.

  • A leading brick and mortar video game seller was on the ropes against the demands of digital customers, so they summoned a Pelotech power team of Joachim, Sean and Dan. The tech trio went deep, defining a whole new API engineering culture for the company. The result? A development framework that was both faster and more maintainable, ultimately leading to the deployment of a new mobile application that accounts for 20% of the company’s sales revenue. Now, this company is up and swinging like never before. Codename: Comeback Kid.

  • One of the Big Three wireless telecoms was sitting on some rich data sets. They were looking to utilize the data from cell towers to determine new markets in the home internet game. Pelotech created pipelines to get that data flowing.

Ryan F. and Joachim created and deployed backend services and data pipelines, and then steered the adoption of best practices within the internal team. This new infrastructure allowed the company to capture an entirely new revenue stream for their business.

  • A promising start up innovating a “checkout free” shopping experience engaged Pelotech first on an advisory retainer basis to provide technical guidance and to review and ratify implementation details before launch. That went well; so well, in fact, that they brought us on as full consultants. Kav and Emmanuel set to work fine-tuning the operation from the ground up. They changed their app deployment method to EKS, created the helm chart of node deployment, used Fluxv2 GitOps for helm chart deployment, and for authentication, improved session handling for DynamoDB migration. By the time we were done, this startup was an offer investors couldn’t refuse. It earned the critical MVP status, and the rest is history in the making.

  • An online consortium of niche fashion brands was trapped in the past by technical debt. Their cadré of frontend developers had their hands tied by layers of old, inefficient processes. That is, until they hired Pelotech. Emmanuel and Tim acted with surgical precision, identifying unnecessary barriers and giving the frontend team tools to collaborate quickly, reliably, and independently. Greater freedom to operate outside of the backend team’s development cycles made the brand’s marketing more flexible. In the dynamic world of high fashion, that means more profit. Inefficiency is so last year.

  • A US-based online work management software company was ready to expand operations across the pond, but was stymied by the complexity of overseas markets. Emmanuel and Ben airdropped to the rescue, launching three new apps directed toward clients in the EU and utilizing EKS solutions to facilitate efficient scalability models. The results: A new world of profits dramatically increasing revenue for the business.

Kav | Partner

Role/What do you do?

I’m a Partner here so I do a little bit of everything.

What are you good at?

My favorite thing in the world is cleaning up unoptimized codebases and deleting vast swaths of unneeded code. I do a lot less of that these days. I’m really good at diving in quickly and tend to pick up new languages, frameworks, and codebases fast. In exchange for this super power I occasionally miss little details and need to revisit an overly hastily constructed mental model.

Hobbies?

I love to drive deep on learning new things so I’m always digging into something. Lately I’ve been working on cars. My consistent hobbies include surfing, snowboarding, bicycling and the occasional yoga session.

What excites you about tech, the company/culture, or the work we do?

I love that technology allows people to create the things they imagine. A big focus on the work we do for me is removing the barriers and obstacles between the customers problems or needs and the development teams ability to design and deliver solutions. Our infrastructure automation work in recent years is especially exciting as it helps give developers the tools to build global internet scale solutions without massive friction. Need a database? It’s just as easy as adding a new class to the codebase.

What motivates you in the work you do?

I believe that satisfaction in life comes from learning and making things in an environment with as few arbitrary constraints as possible. Helping others, on our team and with our clients, see that world and find the joy in creation and exploration is what drives me. Showing our clients that they can accelerate their work without forfeiting stability and compliance and they can solve bigger problems faster with less nonsense is why I enjoy working with the clients we do.

Emmanuel | Staff Engineer

Role/What do you do?

I’m a Staff Engineer here at Pelotech, which means I think and talk about software systems and teams a lot. I also write code! 😀

Years in tech?

I’ve been working in tech for over twenty years now, and developing software professionally for over fifteen. In that time, I’ve worked in a variety of business domains: patient care tools, retail, supply chain, e-commerce, social networking. And I’ve also worked in a variety of technology domains: web and mobile applications, APIs and web services, cloud infrastructure.

What are you good at?

My strengths lie at the intersection of human and technical systems: I am best at working with teams, learning their strengths & the organizational demands they face, and helping select and evolve technology investments to reach their goals. My favorite moments in software development are when someone realizes that adopting (or evolving) an abstraction can yield a major simplicity or performance improvement.

Hobbies?

When I’m not in front of a laptop, I love to spend time in the woods and mountains. This winter (2023) I am learning how to backcountry ski, starting with an avalanche course!

What excites you about tech, the company/culture, or the work we do?

I’m excited about how early we are in the field of software development; in my estimation, everything we do in the field these days will be shockingly primitive to programmers of 50 or 100 years from now. And, as William Gibson put it, “The future is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed.” In that vein, I think all of our tools of today are terrible and we should be able to find major advancements in many places, particularly if we focus on looking for paradigmatic improvements instead of simply incremental changes.

What are you good at?
Thinking outside the box and crafting reusable solutions that can work horizontally across different areas of a company. I love automating, generating code, and creating libraries/frameworks that make life easier for internal teams; helping companies keep things consistent while maximizing flexibility and innovation. My north star is elegant code that is easy to maintain, so teams can save time and focus on what really matters – growing the business!

Hobbies?
Tech and traveling! I love engaging with new perspectives, testing my understandings, and reconsidering the way I see the world.

What excites you about tech, the company/culture, or the work we do?
What excites me about tech in general, and working with all of Pelotech’s amazing clients in specific, are the endless opportunities to learn and problem solve – programming languages, architectures, diversity of systems and team dynamics.

What motivates you in the work you do?
I really enjoy being there from tip to tale on a project.

Helping my clients achieve their business goals – working to understand their objectives and collaborate to develop a strategy that aligns with their vision. The best relationships are symbiotic – it’s an opportunity to learn and grow as a professional and as a developer. I enjoy learning and spreading best practices and influencing team culture.
